What is a PRP injection? Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is produced from a person’s own blood. It is a concentration of one type of blood cell (platelets), which is critical for blood clotting. This concentration is injected into a person’s skin or scalp to accelerate the healing. PRP is incredibly effective for qualified candidates. The process uses your own cells to stimulate follicles and thicken hair. PRP cannot restore follicles that have completely died off, so if you’ve experienced total balding, a hair follicle transplant may be a better fit for you. Many of our clients use PRP after hair transplant to maximize the output of transplanted follicles. How many PRP sessions are needed for hair growth? Most patients will require a minimum of three PRP treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart for initial hair growth.
If you experience tingling, itching or discomfort after PRP hair or skin treatment, paracetamol should be enough to manage it until it passes.
experience aftereffects of PRP hair loss treatment. Even though it’s rare, it is also to be expected.
